Magnetic resonance imaging tomography (MRI)
Tomographic method of investigating the internal organs and tissues using nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR). Allows you to get a high contrast image of body tissues and visualize tissues of the brain, heart, muscles, tumors.
"Gold Standard" is a radiological method of verifying brain vascular pathologies. Allows you to visualize stenoses and aneurysmal dilatations of the carotid and vertebral arteries, arterio-venous malformations, carotid-cavernous fistulas, saccular aneurysms of cerebral vessels, and brain tumors.
The method of graphic registration of biopotentials of the brain allows you to analyze physiological maturity, condition, presence of focal lesions, cerebral disorders, and their nature. It represents a registration and analysis of the bioelectrical activity of a brain. It is used to diagnose epilepsy, which causes EEG abnormalities.
Intraoperative corticography (ICG)
It’s an invasive procedure to localize the function of specific brain areas by direct electrical stimulation of the cerebral cortex. It is used for many clinical applications and remains the best method of pre- surgical planning in the surgical treatment of epilepsy.
Deep brain stimulation (DBS)
Reduces the severity of motor and neurological disorders by stimulating the brain's deep structures. DBS helps reduce medication and improve quality of life. It is used to treat Parkinson's disease, essential tremor, torsional dystonia, spastic crooked neck, epilepsy, and other nervous system diseases.
Surgical interventions using an operating microscope. It is used during operations for brain tumors, epilepsy, trigeminal neuralgia, vascular lesions of the brain, pain, spinal cord, spine, and peripheral nerves lesions.
WADA – test
The temporary inactivation of one of the brain's hemispheres by introducing anesthetic Amytal sodium into the right or left carotid artery to determine the lateralization of such essential cognitive functions as speech, memory, and motility. Used in planning neurosurgical interventions to predict possible functional postoperative disorders, modeling the consequences of removing part of the cerebral cortex.
